Raymond James welcomes $115 million advisor in High Point, North Carolina
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed experienced financial advisor Matt Thiel in High Point, North Carolina, to Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Todd Gartrell, Southeast regional director for RJFS.
Thiel joins Raymond James from Wells Fargo Advisors, where he previously managed approximately $115 million in client assets. He is joined by Client Service Associates Karen Park, Tyler Kubanka and Morgan Banker. The team operates as Signature Wealth Strategies High Point and is an affiliate of Signature Wealth Group.
“I knew I wanted to be at a firm that was innovative, where I could expand my vision and best serve my clients,” said Thiel. “The world continues to change due to COVID-19, and I felt the increased capabilities and sophisticated support services at Raymond James were well worth making a move for my practice and my clients, even in the midst of global uncertainty.”
Thiel, president of Signature Wealth Strategies High Point, has been in the financial services industry for 21 years. Prior to joining Raymond James, he spent 18 years at the High Point branch of Wells Fargo Advisors. Prior to that, he served as the annuity director for Wachovia Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, at the corporate headquarters in Charlotte. He received his undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Notre Dame and earned his master’s degree in finance from the Vanderbilt Business School.
“I am pleased to welcome Matt to Raymond James,” said Raymond James Financial CEO Paul Reilly. “I am proud that our resources and unlimited support continue to attract high-quality advisors like Matt, and we look forward to him growing his practice in the independent channel.”
